The platform combines case tracking, contract management, document management, deadline monitoring, correspondence, receivables management and intelligent AI support in one integrated solution.

No. LEGALinhouse is designed for in-house legal departments, not law firms. The platform uses the terminology and workflows of in-house legal work:

  • Business units instead of "clients"
  • Legal matters instead of "cases"
  • In-house counsel instead of external lawyers

  • Document analysis: Summary, classification and tagging of documents

No. CEAVEO is a tool provider under the German Legal Services Act (RDG). The software is a workflow and productivity tool and explicitly does not constitute legal advice.

All AI-generated content is a draft and requires qualified human review. The user interface shows a note on every AI-generated output: "This is an AI-generated draft and does not constitute legal advice. Qualified review required."

The interface is bilingual (German and English). The AI assistants support 15+ languages for analysis, chat and document processing.

Yes. LEGALinhouse offers several import options:

  • CSV import for matters and structured data
  • PDF/image import for contracts with automatic OCR (including handwritten documents)
  • Bulk document import
  • E-mail import with automatic matter recognition

Pricing & billing

Billing has two components:

  • Monthly plan fee: Fixed fee for platform access (€ 9–99 depending on plan)
  • CT-based usage: You pay only for the usage-based services (AI operations and non-AI add-ons) you actually use — billed in CT (CEAVEO Token)

The system is prepaid — no surprises, no hidden costs. Payment by SEPA direct debit or credit card.

CT (CEAVEO Token) is the universal billing unit of the platform. 1 CT corresponds to about 1,000 AI tokens (the technical processing units used by external AI services). CT are used for both AI operations and non-AI add-on services.

Through the two-stage discount system (plan discount + volume discount), the effective CT price is reduced; the floor (CT floor) is € 0.08 per CT (net).

Before any CT-consuming operation you receive a cost estimate and have to confirm execution.

The software can be booked for a single month at the entry-plan price. A demo system is in planning.

The contract is a monthly subscription with 14 days' notice to the end of the billing month. Other billing periods are not offered at this time.

Security & data protection

All data is stored and processed exclusively in EU data centres in Frankfurt am Main. The data centres are ISO 27001-certified. No data is transferred to third countries.

LEGALinhouse uses a comprehensive set of security measures:

  • AES-256 encryption at rest
  • TLS 1.3 in transit
  • Web Application Firewall (WAF) against common attacks
  • Database per tenant — full data isolation
  • Role-based access control (RBAC) with 5 levels
  • Audit log for all actions
  • Mandatory multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all user accounts

Yes. A data processing agreement (DPA) under Art. 28 GDPR is part of our Terms of Service. The DPA can be retrieved from and concluded electronically in your account.

No. LEGALinhouse is a cloud SaaS solution and runs entirely in the browser. You only need a modern web browser and an internet connection. No installation, no local infrastructure, no IT maintenance.

LEGALinhouse supports all modern browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Microsoft Edge (each in the current version).

No. There is currently no public API offered for customer use. Automated access (scraping, bots, bulk calls) is not permitted under Terms of Service § 4 para. 5. Integrations are under consideration for the mid-term — please get in touch if you have a concrete need.
